Saving the world is easy: all Eden has to do is die.
Seventeen-year-old Eden East’s life is perfect… until her soul is bound to her worst nightmare. Then her parents are brutally murdered, and everyone’s a suspect, including her best friend.
As her world spirals out of control, a charismatic Siren, from a past she can’t remember, returns offering help, hope, and a heap of distractions.
Eden must put aside her grief to solve the mystery of her parents’ murder. In a race against time, can she break the binding to her enemy before he destroys her and her world?
Two murdered parents.
One deadly choice.
I have to confess, as with the last YA novel, it took me a while to get into this. I basically picked it up, looked at a few lines and thought ‘So not sure about this’
However, like with the other one, I picked it up after several months, turned the page and before i knew it I had read a few chapters! Ok, some of the ‘lingo’ I couldn’t understand regardless of Sacha’s kind guide to words and what the places in the book meant. I understood though what the story was saying and followed it that way.
It was obvious reading this book, that Sacha had a very creative imagination and put a lot of hard work, dedication and creativity in it
The only downside I felt to this book was its a ‘to be continued’ book and whilst I can see the need for a series of books on this character, I felt it could have been concluded in this book but still continue with the series.
The way the story was written and some of the powers within the story reminded me very much of Charmed – including their book of Shadows whereas in this book it was called the book of balance – and also had a mixture of of both Harry Potter and Star Trek thrown in the mix – all resulting in ‘Keepers’
For me it was a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
